I see a storm coming. It’s like a giant sandstorm out in the desert. We need to know how to weather this storm out, and like a giant sandstorm, there’s only one way …we need to bunker down. I see us bowing down on one knee, digging our sword into the ground (even on an angle pointing backwards, for greater stability) and hanging on for dear life. For without that anchor to hold on to, we would surely be picked up and blown away. It is time to bow the knee to the Lord, hold onto your sword and your word, and to close your eyes and bow your head to keep the sand from blinding you and getting in your mouth and ears. It is a time to bide your time and wait upon the Lord. CONSERVE YOUR ENERGY! It’s not a time to attack, for those that do will be wasting their energy, swinging at things they cannot see and cannot reach and cannot catch.
We need to bunker down and wait it out. Bide our time. It is only for a season. For as it is with a sandstorm …THESE THINGS TOO WILL SURELY PASS.
