The cup never gives back. In I pour the water, nothing in return!
“Put more in” says the Lord
More goes in, still no ‘thank-you’ for me
“Put more in” said the Lord
‘The cup is not a grateful thing, I get no hint of return, Lord.’
“Then for whom are you pouring? More, Son!!!” said the Lord
Into the ‘tardis’ it goes. It seems to be bottomless. Am I wasting my time?
“Follow me and give what you have” says the Lord
In went the water, suddenly up and over the brim it was.
Now, I could see what had been put in, built up into a surplus.
Spilling over.
“It’s the same with love” said The One Who First Loved Us.
Note: See 2 Corinthians 1:3-5
