The little girl knows that if she comes to the window, she will see the wheat fields and the long grass swaying in the fresh country air… she knows the smell of the earth beneath her bare feet… and she has felt the hand that holds hers when the morning speaks life into the day. It is warm and cosy inside the place she has dwelt for many years… yet also a strange sense of wonder arises as the embers of the past wane.
She presses her ear against the solid wooden door as if to expect a whisper… looking down toward the handle she remembers that she has hidden the key for the wrought iron lock. The sound of ‘Seek and ye shall find’ whistles through her spirit and she hurries to the book beside the fire. Could she find her life in these leaves… is there a key amongst the miriad of natural fibres written on long ago.
The wonder returns with a sense of newness, as a shard of light illuminates her tear filled eyes. A breath is captured in her lungs as the tears fall into the ink. ‘I hold your tears in a bottle, close to my heart’, she hears… looking up into the light… there, before her, seven colours form a stream from beyond the window and her hand has reached out to them through the glass as if it didn’t exist.
She stands and walks… eyes afixed upon the glorious life force she has touched… through the wall and onto the green grass her being takes her… the colour becomes her… as the wind sings through her hair. The sound of love is so loud but she can’t stop walking into it… it is persistant and defining!!! What is this new sound, a distant memory of this same song had kissed her before she was born… but her mind had drowned it’s melody.
She falls to her knees and lays her head in her hands… and a groan from the belly of a babe is heard for miles. Arise my beloved!!! Fall into My arms of comfort and peace… I will not leave you nor forsake you… I have waited for all time to hold you close and feel your heart beat again…oh My precious girl!!! My delight is your life unfolding beforeMe and your name upon My lips. Do not be afraid… I am patient and your love is worth My life.
My treasure is in you… layers of hope are yours to enjoy… you are my beauty… come with me… let me hear your voice say… YESHUA
My Lord… I hear your call…
